Hello Gunbuster,

The thread was not relevant so split to a new discussion. They have a known device, but disabled after a specific driver update, which works when enabled.

If your computer states USB Device Not Recognised or Unknown, it means the computer cannot identify what device is connected. At that stage, it does NOT try to find a driver, as it doesn't yet know what is connected. Therefore, updating graphics drivers (Intel or DisplayLink) on the laptop will have zero impact as they are not yet invoked. It's a low level issue.

There are multiple USB devices in the Dell D6000 box. It would be useful to see what is not recognised.
Would you please connect the D6000, and then run the DisplayLink diagnostic tool?
Details in the 3rd link of my forum signature.
This will take a snapshot of Device Manager to see what is recognised, and what isn't. This sounds like a hardware fault which may need Dell support for replacement, but logs will tell me more.

Kind regards,
Alban
