We are happy to inform that a new release, DisplayLink Software for Ubuntu version 4.2 is out.
Changes include:
- improved compatibility with newer kernel versions used in Ubuntu 17.10
- better support for X server quirks present in version that fresh Ubuntu releases use
- other bugfixes and improvements
Important notes:
If your screens freeze after launching applications, please see
this article for workaround.
Older X versions can crash, freeze or make the system go to low graphics mode when modesetting driver is used with DisplayLink devices. If you see this, please follow
this article.
If you use Secure Boot, please
read this.
