Yes, I understand it is a lot of pixels. Apple Thunderbolt Displays with MacBook airs have a lot of pixels as well, and a slower processor than I'm running. If your product can't do this, why say you support it?

I set the priority up as you suggested. Being that it is Windows 8, I set the priority to real time.
No improvement. I also noticed, that even just moving the mouse, you can see noticeable lag and dropped frames. I looked at the CPU while doing this, and displaylink never went above 5% and there was plenty of spare CPU in the 80+% range.

Have you actually tried this in house? I'm using the HP 3005pr which has a displayport connector. A Dell XPS -12 I5, Windows 8 Pro, Intel 4000 and 8GB ram. The Dell has a mini display port. If I use the internal MiniDP and don't use the HP display port connector everything is fine. However, we want to deploy this with machines that don't have minidp and use this dock. But doesn't look encouraging.
