What does it mean it works fine? Do I understand correctly that the overall desktop experience using additional screen is OK, but some Metro applications are still crashing? It would be great if we could have detailed information about the state of our software on your machine after the problem occurs.
Unfortunately, if you used system restore, then it means that the driver in use is now the old version again. Would it be possible for you to try the 6.3 release from
http://www.displaylink.com/support/downloads.php once more, try to replicate the issue and use
http://displaylink.com/support/ticket.php?id=269 to gather debugging information you could send us (attach to the post here)?
