Default Problems with Surface Book + Docking

Recently got a Surface Book + Docking. My Surface Book got DisplayLink driver installed. I got a Dell D3100, but nonetheless, the bug repro without the D3100 connected.

Repro steps:
  • Turn on Surface Book with keyboard base attached
  • Attach Surface Docking to the keyboard base, with a monitor connected to Surface Docking
  • Wait a few seconds until connection and monitor resolution stabilize
  • Either do one of the following:
    1. Detach Surface Docking connector (it do not require eject button), or,
    2. Press detach key on keyboard, then remove Surface Book from the keyboard base, which is still connected to Surface Docking

Actual:
The screen on Surface Book clipboard (i.e. screen of SB) goes black. Reattach SB to keyboard base + docking, wait a few seconds, SB will resume normal operation. During black screen, network seems also disconnected. Maybe SB is hang but not BSOD.

Expected:
Surface Book clipboard should detach and work normally as a tablet.

Workaround:
Shutdown Surface Book before removing from Surface Docking.

Note 1: There is no eject button in system tray to detach from docking, however, there is a detach icon in system tray to detach from keyboard base.
Note 2: Even the detach key is pressed and wire muscle unlocked, the clipboard is still talking to the base (including docking), until clipboard is physically removed from the base.
