I've been looking through all the Plugable range and can't find anything that says it supports Ubuntu at all. The DisplayLink drivers do support Ubuntu, but if I was you I wouldn't take the risk. Depending on what your use case is (feel free to share your setup so that I can be more specific), I would choose the
Dell D6000 universal docking station. If you check the
User Guide for this dock, on page 6 you can see that it does indeed support Ubuntu operating systems.
Hopefully that's a helpful recommendation.
