On some occasions it worked, on others not. Moreover, sometimes it worked only after I restarted the computer or plugged in and out the USB cable with the VGA connector (with random success).

And now it does not work at all, although all settings are apparently correct:

- Device manager recognizes the adapter
- drivers are installed
- adapter booted up correctly, HW ID: USB\VID_17E9&PID_02EE&REV_0103
- in "devices and printers" the adapter appears as recognized
- DisplayLink Service in Windows is running

I have no idea where and how to switch on the DisplayLink UI (as indicated by the small blue screen on the Windows task bar) to access the on/off options of the adapter which helped when I encountered problems before. Does anybody have a clue and is there a straightforward solution? The logfile is attached!

I made extensive research on the web and did not come to a conclusion ...

All the best,

Hi,

Do you get the same issue on other USB ports on your notebook?

I ask as in the log files was a recent memory dump referencing the Realtek USB card reader on your notebook.

Thanks,
James
