Thumbs up Newbie need help, where to start...

I bought a Cables Unlimited AV2010 usb wireless adapter. Here is where I'm stuck.

I'm using this on a MacBook Pro booting into Windows XP via bootcamp. Please note windows is fully up to date and so is the CU AV2010 firmware on the devices. I do have a connection between the PC USB device, and the USB base device.

I have tried to connect to 2 different TV's via the HDMI input and I keep getting the following error:

"DisplayLink Device - The system cannot write to the specified device."

This also happens if I try to use the VGA connection.

Note - the audio does work if trying to use HDMI.

If I use one of my old Dell laptops with Windows XP I still get the same error when trying to use the HDMI connection. If I use the VGA connection it all works good and I get the video on the screen.

I just tried another setup, I went to my dad's house and used his HP laptop (Windows 7) and used the HDMI connection and everything worked fine. FWIW he has the same TV I do.

So does this sound like an XP problem? I'm running XP Pro SP3 with all updates.

Any help in the right direction would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Chuck
