Thank you so much for this fix, madscientist!!!! Displaylink was burning my CPU since I updated to Ubuntu 18.04. Now CPU consumption seems to be on a reasonable level again.

thanks for the DisplayLink drivers. I was really waiting for running drivers for my X1 + ThinkPad USB 3.0 Dock + Ubuntu 14.10. + i3wm

They seem to work better than expected but I still have...
