try increase the minimum processor state in Power...
try increase the minimum processor state in Power option to see if that helps. this is suppose to be the trick for Windows 8.1, but it can possibly help in W7 as well.

Try go to Windows Power Options and adjust...
Try go to Windows Power Options and adjust Minimum processor state to 80% when plugged in and somewhere around 20-30% on battery.
That fixed my problem when DisplayLink dock lags on all monitors....
