Thanks. I did so, and the screens did turn on. (Yea!) Unfortunately, when they came on the system slowed down to a crawl. It's bad enough that I had to uninstall the driver, because I couldn't use it...

Monitors not recognized in Ubuntu 16.04

Fresh install of stock ubuntu 16.04. When I plug in the displaylink, it powers on the monitor for a moment, but then it turns back off. The monitor does not show up in the display settings of Ubuntu.
