Well I got it to work ... in a way. I changed my connection to the monitor to use DVI instead of HDMI and that signal was picked up by the monitor just fine. Then I swapped out the DVI for the HDMI...

ATI Driver Update

I thought it may be because I didn't have the latest ATI drivers installed so I installed them. I still have the same problem.
