MS Surface Pro Win8.1 Network and mouse issue
1 Attachment(s)
Hi,
I've just upgraded my 8.1RC to the 7.4M0 driver and have noticed two issues. Network - On resuming from sleep the Ethernet adapter is not connected and only a full windows restart resolves the issue. Mouse - If the DisplayLink is connected at boot no mouse cursor appears. If the DisplayLink is attached after boot cursors are fine. Benny |
Hi,
The mouse issue sounds hub related. Can you check what hub firmware you have installed? Open up device manager, open up Universal Serial Bus controllers and right click on the entry called “Generic SuperSpeed USB Hub”. Select “Properties”, select “Details”, change “Property” to “Hardware Ids” and the REV_xxxx value will tell you what version of firmware is programmed on the hub. Let me know what this value is. Thanks, James |
Hi,
Are you still getting the ethernet issue? Thanks, James |
Details
Hardware ID - USB\VID_2109&PID_0811&REV_3198
and yes still having the issue with ethernet on wake. Benny |
Hi,
I think R7.4 M2 should fix the ethernet issue. http://www.displaylink.com/support/downloads.php Can you try it out? Thanks, James |
Problem now cleared.
System reset and installed Win8.1 over the weekend and then clean install of latest drivers and all is well. Even copes with coming out of sleep mode now. Thanks for the help |
