Windows 8 Asus Sleep/Wake Crash

We are using an Asus Universal docking station with an Asus notebook. It runs Windows 8. We don't want to update to Windows 8.1 yet since there have been too many reported issues with it. The notebook is working fine but we experience a crash every time we put the notebook in sleep or hibernation mode with the docking station. It seems okay if we power down the notebook first and unplug the docking station. However, if we put it into sleep mode to take on the road or to meetings and unplug the docking station then it crashes every time we try to wake up the laptop again.

I saw another similar post with someone that uses Windows 8.1. Will the beta driver version also be a possible fix for us? It's very aggravating especially since we were told this docking station would work with the notebook!

Hi,

Can you attach the output of this tool?

When you reply please select "Manage Attachments" from the "Additional Options" section below.

From there select Upload and navigate to the output of the tool.

Regarding the crash - do you get a blue screen of death?

Thanks,
James

Ok. We will download the tool. We get the typical Windows 8 blue screen message with the watchdog generic error. I can attach if needed.

Hi,

I've just noticed a similar issue posted elsewhere which is fixed in v7.6.

Can you try this release? You can find it here:

If that doesn't help then please attach the logs and I'll look into your issue.

Thanks,
James

Ok. Sorry, just saw the link to try 7.6. Here is the log anyway. If we have an issue with 7.6 then we will upload that log too.
