Lenovo LT1421 color calibration?
 

I just purchased a Lenovo ThinkVision LT1421 USB display, which I have connected to a Lenovo X301 notebook running Windows 7 Ultimate x64.

I color-profiled the LT1421 using an X-Rite Eye-One Display 2 device and applied the new color profile using Windows 7 color management, but it makes no difference -- it looks like the color profile does nothing. I have calibrated lots of displays and have never seen this behavior before.

Is this supported? I need to use color matched displays in my work and will need to return this device if it cannot be calibrated.

No - sorry, there is no color calibration support on this product.

Are you planning to add support for color profiles? This is a very important feature for many of us.

color management is essential.
 

It is rather astonishing to learn that color management is not being implemented as a possibility with DisplayLink technology. Absent
color management, DisplayLink is useless to graphic arts, photographic,
and video applications where correct color is critical. It is hard to
imagine why anyone offering a product enabling multiple monitors as
a capability would so deeply cripple their potential market by not
offering ICC color management.

I just bought the Targus usb 3 docking station and the first thing I did was calibrate my screen. Imagine my surprise when nothing happened. After some error hunting I landed here. I'm astonished that color management isn't possible. I'm working with graphics and this is a real dealbreaker for me.:mad:

I wish i would have found this post before buying this monitor. Maybe you Displaylink should start considering adding ICC color management support to the driver (mac included) ?!

No color adjustment is a deal breaker!

I have only just found this thread and am extremely disappointed.

What is the point in having multiple screens if colour cannot be adjusted to match across the screens? Even the same monitor model will show considerable variation, esp. when connected through different port types.
This thus is a deal breaker even for people who do not need perfectly matched or fully calibrated screens.

Now, no-where did the product literature suggest that the USB linked displays would be crippled like that.

We have just purchased 10 (!) Belkin USB 3.0 Dual Video Docking Stations.
Sadly, they will now go back.


USB connected monitors are a fantastic idea for people with powerful laptops. When I spend a lot of money on a laptop and a set of monitors, saving a little on the USB link isn't helping.

*Please* consider fixing this or offering a pro version.

color calibration is very important thing.
Because if you reading documents - different monitors shows different white colors.
Please fix this. It's very bad for eyes...

I too purchased a USB dock that is now about useless. Awesome. Luckily my computer has two video out ports so I can simply plug and unplug my monitors when I dock. But now I've got 4 cables I'm plugging and unplugging every time. Not the most convenient dock.
