Wake from sleep
I see some other sleep issues on here, but not sure if they match the issue I am seeing. Sometimes when I wake my system from sleep, my Macbook monitor wakes fine, and the monitor attached via mini-dvi wakes fine, but the monitor attached via the usb adapter comes up with a crazy static pattern. I can run my mouse cursor through it and it starts to show the correct screen. I can also minimize an app on that screen and the static will go away (wherever the app windows was). See attached screenshot. You can see how my mouse cursor removes the static.
Hoping there is a resolution for this as it is a pain. 2007 Black Macbook Lion 10.7.4 1.8 Alpha Diamond BVU195 (same issue if attached directly to MacBook or through usb hub) http://i.imgur.com/7C66V.jpg |
Or maybe I'm the only one having the issue!?

I occasionally saw that too (and haven't seen it since I uninstalled the drivers).

Downgraded to stable 1.7, same problem.

Tried another monitor. Same issue.

I find using a different USB cable (a better shielded one helps).. eg EVGA comes with a really crappy retractable one.. I replaced with a fixed one. .and that seems to help.

This is a know issue. Unfortunately there is no fix yet. Sometime when returning from sleep the screen image is not correctly updated. As soon as the screen content get updated (moving the cursor or much easily activating a full screen effect like the mission control one) everything works fine.

It usually recovers for me, but slow.
Sleep sometimes results in blank screens for minutes aft I wake up, eventually they return.
Also If I go to the "arrangement" tab and move them round it will return faster. For reference I have my screen saver set to blank. Just annoying but managable for me, anyways. |
