Unable to use DisplayLink alongside Thunderbolt monitor?
Hi everyone!
I recently got a 13" 2020 M1 MacBook Pro from my work. Unfortunately, this means that my current monitor setup will not work natively. Needless to say, this has been a headache. My setup is the following: - LG 38" Ultrawide connected directly through Thunderbolt - 24" Asus Monitor connected via HDMI to this dock: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I downloaded the DisplayLink drivers as this dock seemed compatible, but my Asus monitor simply doesn't recognize any sort of feed. Is it possible to do the setup I am doing? One monitor in one Thunderbolt port, and the other monitor connected via HDMI to the dock that is connected to the second Thunderbolt port? Any help is appreciated. Thank you! |

Your Mac only supports one external display natively via a Thunderbolt/USB-C connection, which is being used by your LG display. If pressed to guess, you have the Asus display connected to the HDMI output within the dock that is intended to be driven by the resources already in use by your LG display. If you have not already done so, I would suggest trying to connect the Asus display to one of the other two remaining HDMI outputs within the dock to see if that changes the behavior. |
