Secondary monitors not rendering

1 Attachment(s)
Ubuntu 17.04
Gnome
Toshiba Satellite C55-C5240
Dual Dell 23" Monitors (P2314HT)
DVI Dual-Monitor Docking Station for Laptops: https://www.startech.com/Cards-Adapt...vi~USB3SDOCKDD

You can see the mouse move across all monitors like normal. However it fails to render any apps or backgrounds. Ironically if you teamviewer into the box you can see all the monitors and windows just fine.

I have attached the Linux Support Tool dump for my laptop.

Resolved issue

I got it working. Per dylanparry's advice I created the 20-intel.conf file, but instead of /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/ my system used /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/ In addition I also installed the "Intel Graphics for Linux" https://01.org/linuxgraphics/downloads which my laptop uses.

Using the intel driver is not really an option. Most distributions switched to modesetting as a default and the intel driver is kind of dead.

Anyone got a solution how to use DisplayLink devices with modesetting on the primary display?

@Hossie:

Try the second workaround from the FAQ article mentioned here:
