displays not detected with nvidia proprietary drivers

Dear DisplayLink-Team,

my current state of affairs:
Ubuntu 14.04
GeForce GTX 970M
Dell D3100 EUR
displaylink drivers v1.0.138

What works:
+ With Xorg nouveau drivers all displays are detected and working.
- Unfortunately the nouveau drivers don't offer the GPU performance I expect from my system (i.e. almost unusable).

What doesn't work:
With nvidia-352 drivers the performance is as expected but none of the displays are recognized.

My question: is there a workaround I didn't find? Is it a problem of the drivers not being able to communicate? If so are there plans to integrate them more neatly?

Best regards,
Sandro Weber

I have the same problem, its working only on XORG drivers !
I'm using Dell XPS15, appreciate Displaylink posting a solution.

Hello,

Sadly, due to the nature of the binary NVIDIA/AMD drivers and their non-standard behaviour currently we are unable to help. It's a known limitation.
