Signal strength
 

I have a macbook Pro (mid 2012) running Catalina v10.15.7. My trouble is that when the computer goes to sleep, or I close the lid, the external monitor loses the signal. When I wake the computer up the next morning, the monitor struggles to get a strong enough signal from the machine to turn on. The screen blinks on and off until the signal is strong enough. Most days I have to start, uninstall the drivers, restart, reinstall the drivers, and move on.

Any help would be appreciated!
