Problem with MBP M1 not detecting monitor using Dell Da300
 

Hi

I just purchased the Dell DA300 hub (recommended by this site) but unfortunately, when I connect the monitor, it says that the monitor "cannot be detected"... can anyone help. i have given permission to the screen record. I am using the new MBP M113 inch laptop.

Hello,

Dell DA300 docking station/hub does not seem to be using DisplayLink technology. Therefore the DisplayLink software will not detect any monitors connected to it. Please reach out for support to the manufacturer of the dock.

Thanks for the reply. Very disappointing as it is on this website as a device that supports display link and that is the only reason why I bought it??? Can you recommend a dock that has display link and will work with M1 Mac book pro.

Can you please point me to where you found the recommendation for Dell DA300 hub?

I do not know what specifications you need - based on the DA300 I assume that you need one VGA port. I pre-filtered the product search on our website for you to review products available with VGA port: https://www.displaylink.com/products...um=1&vid_vga=1

You can adjust the filters to match your needs.

Please keep in mind that I cannot recommend just one product as we do not manufacture or sell any end products.

The Dell da300 seems to be gone from your website or maybe I had got my information from the wrong source (apologies if that is the case).

I am just looking for a docking station that will allow me to use 2 external monitors on an MBP with the new M1 Chip. If anyone has the name of one, I would be greatly appreciative.
