List of Devices With Auto Install for Win 10 Anniversary

Is there a list of know devices that do not work with Windows 10 Anniversary and DisplayLink? I think my device, an Infocus IN1100 is in that category, but want to be sure. I am unable to get this device to be recognized by either of my laptops when using the USB connection after upgrading to Windows 10 Anniversary, even after installing DisplayLink V8.0 M2 (Version: 8.0.762.0).

Hello,

Would you please be able to look into Windows Device Manager properties for the device?
You should have a drop down with a Hardware ID starting with USB\VID_17e9&PID_
Can you tell me the 4 characters after PID_ ?

Kind regards,
Alban

Dear Alban,
I also have an IN1100 which is no longer recognizing my updated Windows 10 Anniversary laptops.
They have been updated to 8.0.762.0 driver. One is running an older installation of DisplayLink Core, the other the latest.
The older installation recognizes the device as"Projector" in Device Manager and IDs that projector as a DisplayLink device under Properties, but the projector won't recognize the laptop as a source and stay searching on the intro screen.
The four digits after PID_ are 0301.
The rest of that # is
0301\8AV6G002A268321
The Device Manager properties also says
Information:
Device USB\VID_17E9&PID_0301\8AV6G002A268321 was migrated.

Last Device Instance Id: USB\VID_17E9&PID_0301\8AV6G002A268321
Class Guid: {3376F4CE-FF8D-40A2-A80F-BB4359D1415C}
Location Path:
Migration Rank: 0x0
Present: true

So apparently the device was "migrated" when that laptop (used infrequently) received updates?
Can you help me?
Thanks!
Bill

Hey Bill,

I have looked and I am sorry to report it has a mass storage/auto-install.

Kind regards,
Alban

Thanks, Alban. Could you please clarify what you mean?
You write,
"...it has a mass storage/auto-install."
What is "it"? The IN1100? The laptop? Windows 10?
What does it mean that one of these has a "mass storage/auto-install"? Does that mean the IN1100 won't work with Windows 10? Or that DisplayLink won't work with Windows 10? Is there something I can do to make it work?
Thanks,
Bill

I'm sorry and would like to apologize Bill, I forgot to give the link to article explaining the details as the original poster asked if it had auto-install or not.

The Microsoft USB driver shipped with Windows 10 we are using does not support the switching between a mass storage device and a video device.
Therefore it is not possible to support these DisplayLink enabled devices from Windows 10 Anniversary Update.
