No Signal Transfer Back to Laptop after Undocking

Hello. First post here, so please bear with me if I did not follow proper procedure. Here is my issue in a nutshell:

Dell Inspiron 15z 5523 laptop running Windows 8.1 64-bit Enterprise. All drivers and BIOS up-to-date. USB connection to a Dell D3000 docking station.
My issue lies when I try to undock my laptop from the docking station. Intermittently, signal is not reverted from my external monitors back to my laptop. I have to completely reboot my machine in order to have video display. This has been an ongoing issue with a number of different DisplayLink drivers (yes, I am on the newest version).

Any ideas?
