Before I updated to mountain lion everything was working fine and now the display will not show up and re plugging everything hasn't helped. Can anybody point me in the right direction? or help somehow? I'm running a late 2007 macbook pro. More information can be provided if needed |
Me too. MacBook Pro 13" Mid 2009 running Displaylink v1.8 "Supports Mountain Lion" Not true cos black screen. OS X 10.8

Could you please try to uninstall and re-install the 1.8 driver.
If it doesn't work, please use the debug tool here http://www.displaylink.com/support/ticket.php?id=269, collect debug info and post the output file. Thanks |

I'm having the exact same problem. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the 1.8 driver multiple times, repaired permissions, all to no avail. Here's my verbose debug info.
I forgot to mention, I'm running a three week-old 13" MacBook Air. DisplayLink was working great under Lion, but Mountain Lion is acting like it can't see any additional monitors no matter what I do. |
Having the same problem here. Using a 2011 Macbook Pro. Everything worked fine in Lion but no longer works under Mountain Lion.

The driver seems to be installed but the rest of the software never started, it seems it never even tried to start. Normally in these cases we recommend to uninstall, repair permissions and install again. But I see launchd failing and this might not be enough: we rely on this OS service to start the software. So first of all I'd do the recommended sequence, then if it was my system I'd try a reinstall of the OS. or wait for the soon to arrive 10.8.1. Let us know how it goes Carlo |
