AOC USB monitor becomes unrecognizable on Surface Book
1 Attachment(s)
Hello,
My Surface Book suddenly stopped recongnizing DisplayLink HDMI adapter which connects to a subdisplay. Now there is no DisplayLink entry in my Device manager, or no chime when plugging the adapter into USB port. I tried everything I could, including uninstalling and reinstalling the DisplayLink driver a numerous times, yet I can see no sign of recovery. I made sure the same adapter and the same display still works perfectly as a subdispaly on another PC. So the problem must be within the Surface Book. I attach the Displaylink Windows Support Tool result. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you. |
curious the answer here. We are seeing issues with Surface Pro 4, Surface Laptop 1 and v2 Surface Laptops.

Surface 4 Not Recognizing the USB AOC E1659F Monitor
No matter what I do or try I can't get my Surface Pro 4 to recognize the extra USB monitor. Is there a work around for this? I love my little AOC.... :(

Hello,
When I had the Surface Pro 3, some USB displays didn't work as the Surface USB port couldn't provide enough current to boot the display. I would recommend you plug the second USB plug of the monitor to the Surface Pro 3 power adapter USB port. If you don't see the desktop straight away, please wait ~2 minutes as it may be doing firmware flashing. Kind regards, Alban |
