MultiPoint 2012 Beta

Does anyone know if the Windows 8 DisplayLink drivers work with Multipoint 2012? I set up WMS2012 on a 2nd partition on my WMS2011 computer but cannot get the HP t150 client to display.

Thanks!

No, WMS2012 is not currently supported, and we don't have a date for support for this OS at the moment.

Need MultiPoint 2012 drivers now

I'm thinking about buying a few thousand MultiPoint endpoints that use the DisplayLink driver (LG N195WU-PN and LG N225WU-BN) but I can't do that until DisplayLink updates their drivers to work with MultiPoint 2012 (i.e. Windows Server 2012 with a Windows 7/8 experience). Any idea when this will be ready? Last week the other players (Wyse with the MCT chipset and HP with the SMSC chipset) posted their beta plugins for MultiPoint 2012 on the Microsoft Connect site.

Come on, DisplayLink! This is a million dollar project, and right now because your drivers aren't ready, I'm being forced to look elsewhere.

HP t100/150 success

Anyone have success with HP t100/150 drivers yet?

I downloaded the latest drivers and ran them in Win7 mode, installed fine. (Running in normal mode said it wasn't supported in current OS.)

However, I'm unable to get a screen to display through the clients. In Device Manager, the client shows as installed, no errors. Shut down, re-plugged all cables. The keyboards/mice look active - lock button lights respond and lasers are on.

Thanks, all.

Well, I talked with some reps from LG and they said that it doesn't look like DisplayLink is going to create MultiPoint 2012 drivers, so LG is going to move over to the SMSC chipset (same one that the HP T200 uses). Evidently, LG will have a new monitor in April that works with MultiPoint 2012 and uses the SMSC chipset. It's an ethernet monitor, so I'm crossing my fingers that it'll also be USB.

I have over 3,000 monitors/endpoints I need to buy, with the possibility of thousands more in the future.

WMS 2012 Drivers for DisplayLink chips

There is now an option available for WMS 2012 and DisplayLink based products.

It's from a company called OSBASE, which is led by an ex-Microsoft graphics driver developer. They've developed a very stable and high performance driver for the new WMS 2012 plug-in model for DisplayLink-based USB terminals.

At Plugable Technologies, we've licensed their solution, and are bundling it with our zero clients:
http://plugable.com/2012/12/20/windo...le-zero-client

In particular, these two:

Plugable DC-125 http://plugable.com/products/dc-125
Plugable UD-160-M http://plugable.com/products/ud-160-m

Note that OSBASE http://osbase.com/ has a sample driver available that will work on older hardware (like the DisplayLink-based HP devices). It has a visible "trial" warning, but you can easily try it out. It will be available to both individual buyers and device makers.

Performance and stability is much improved over WMS 2011 - Microsoft has done a great job radically simplifying the new plug-in graphics driver model of WMS 2012.

Thank you so much! I'll try this when I get back to work next month.
