Embedded Linux Server with DisplayLink
 

I have a working Linux server running Ubuntu. It has no monitor attached since it is accessed via network.

Occasionally I would like to connect a monitor via USB. DisplayLink seems to be an elegans solution. When I connect it it seems to work - device driver is loaded (/dev/fb1 created) and I get a green screen.

However, I would like to have a text console screen. Can somebody explain how to configure DisplayLink to mirror the main console text screen?
