DisplayLink Xorg Ubuntu 16.04 LTS Issues
 

Hey all,

I'm running Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS on a Dell XPS using an Anker USB 3.0 docking station as a port and monitor extender.

I've previously had an additional two monitors working on the system with no performance issues or bugs, however, after a recent set of updates, the performance of displaylink/dock is terrible at best.

Quite often the machine will boot me into low graphics mode or not detect the pair of monitors correctly. If the monitors do work, overall performance of the machine is terrible.

I have tried both work arounds as detailed in the DisplayLink knowledge base.

I want my monitors back!!!
