Accell USB 3.0 Docking Station EXTREMELY SLOW ETHERNET
 

I have a 1 Gbps connection BUT my Accell USB 3.0 Docking Station's Ethernet is 400-500 Mbps slower when using the dock versus connecting to my laptop.

I uninstalled all software with the adapter disconnected and tried using multiple software updates from 2009 (firmware version) to latest Sep 2020 version.

Adjusting the Speed & Duplex settings yield:
Using 10Mbps Full Duplex, I get 9 Mbps on a 1 Gbps feed.
Using 100Mbps Full Duplex flows 60/70Mbps, and either 1.0GbpsFull Duplex or Auto Negotiation flow ~500/600Mbps.

The docking station also regularly fails to wake up.

Is there anything I can do other than buy an adapter from a different company?
