DisplayLink slows down whole system (Ubuntu 18.04)
 

I've got 2 monitors connected to my system, which is running Ubuntu 18.04 with Wayland.

Once I connect the 3rd monitor through DisplayLink, the whole system lags. CPU usage is high, and everything I do (dragging windows, typing, etc.) is incredibly slow.

I installed the latest driver, v5.1. I tried various different fixes I found on this forum and Stack Overflow, but nothing worked so far.

Oh, and by the way, I'm on an Intel iGPU (Kaby Lake) and this happens with both Xorg and Wayland.
