Banner notifications and slack sound stopped working after updatin MacOs Monetrrey
 

seems like after updating to macOS Monterey now banner notifications (the ones that come up on the top right) when you get email, slack, etc... don't show up anymore....

You can see the notifications are coming cause if you click on today's date on the top right, the list of notifications are there....

Also Slack alerts don't show up either but even the notification sound doesn't come up either....

As soon as you either close the displaylink app or turn the dockstation off, notifications start working again and slack notifications sound too

MacOS Monterey 12.0.1
DisplayLink 1.5 ( build 58.125)

Had the same issue with the display link driver 5.2.4 too and I tried to update to the Manager app instead but still the same issue

same, super frustrating.

spent 2+ hour with apple support .... ended up having to uninstall/reinstall (which took another 3 hours) only to realize the issue is the connectivity to display link.

emailed about this, and was told it was an apple issue... which it is not.

now i have to decide btwn having bigger screens, or missing notifications.
