Resolution, Refresh Rates, Etc. don't match HDTV
1 Attachment(s)
I've got a Displaylink USB DVI adapter and am attempting to hook up an RCA HDTV as a second monitor using it's DVI-D input. The only resolution Displaylink is offering is 640x480 with 16-bit color quality. Also, the picture is garbled and full of static, which I believe may be related to an incorrect refresh rate (I could be completely off base here, just a guess). Can someone point me in the right direction to resolve this issue? I'm running Windows XP, and I've attached the logs from the debug tool.
Thanks in advance. |
This looks like an interlace TV< and we only support progressive modes. The modes reported by the TV are:
Display Modes ============= 640x480x24@60 720x480x24@60 1920x540x24@60 - rejected due to being Interlaced. So you should get offered 640x480 and 720x480. I see you are running SW version 5.2. Could you update to v6.3 and see if this fixes the timing issues at 640x480 and whether 720x480 becomes available? Wim |
Hi Wim,
Upgrading to 6.3 did the trick! I had tried using the in program auto-update (which didn't seem to find anything), but had not manually checked the website for a newer version. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little disappointed that I can't get the full 1080i, but 720x480 is actually pretty viewable. Thank you very much for your help. |
