Device Manager - Error Code 31 (windows 10, Targus USB3.0 DV Docking Station)
 

Hi,
I've recently connected my Targus USB3.0 DV Docking Station to a new computer and am running into some issues.

The docking station functions as a usb hub (connected keyboard and mouse work fine), however does not function with external display or ethernet cable. In device manager there is the following message:

"This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)

{Operation Failed}
The requested operation was unsuccessful."

The knowledge base (https://support.displaylink.com/know...-on-windows-10) suggests that this is a UMDF issue, however I'm not sure how exactly I would go about resolving this.

I'm having the same issue but in my case, the ethernet port is working fine, so do the USBs and Audio, I'm just getting code 31 on the displays, and only on up to date laptops! Tried it on an out of date laptop and it's working properly.
