Equipment:
- Dell 5590 Laptop (Windows 10) All Windows updates installed, bios current, Chipset Intel Chipset Device Software_9NNTR_WIN_10.1.18019.8144_A08 (Status 15.03.2020) - Dell D6000 Dock (Dock_D6000_FW_Updater_A03_T8Y8T) connected via USB-C and installed Display Link Manger 9.3.3147.0 - 8K DisplayPort Cable - Samsung CR49RG94SSU - Samsung Software Easy Settings Box (WindowManager) First problems: No 5K via a DisplayPort connection possible ! Only max 2560x1440 - 60 Hz at DP1 and max 2560x1440 - 60 Hz at DP2. With activated Picture by Picture Mode both DP1 and DP2 are visible. Target: 5K @60Hz via ONE display port! What must be considered here ? 2nd problem: The window manager (Samsung Software Easy Setting Box or MS Powery Toys Fancyzone) does not recognize the monitor ! Which window manager is used to detect a monitor connected via a D6000 ? |
Hi,
Two DP cables are required for 5K. The DisplayLink Manager app https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/p/di...ot:overviewtab or the built in Windows Display Settings can be used to manipulate the monitor settings. James |
