Hello,

The logfiles do not show any DisplayLink powered devices as connected to the computer.

Please review the following FAQ for now: My DisplayLink device does not work at all when connecting on macOS X (https://support.displaylink.com/knowledgebase/articles/618597-my-displaylink-device-does-not-work-at-all-when-co)

Let me know if the issue persists.
Thank you.

The device that you sent a screenshot is not DisplayLink but Fresco Logic I believe. what is the device that you are working with?

Hello

I got the same problem.

I am using an MBA, M2, 24GB, 1TB.
USB-to-HDMI adapter from Startech. Displaylink Manager 1.8.0 Build 63.163.
Get message: "Please allow your Displaylink device to connect to this Mac."
Adapter correctly installed in the System-setings, no chance of further activation.
USB recognition is "always".
Thus, cannot "allow" connection.
Is this a bug in version 1.8.0?

Many thanks

Hello,

Please ensure that you have DisplayLink powered device - so a device that has DisplayLink chip in it.
If you have non-DisplayLink product it will not show any monitors detected as the driver will have no device to connect to.
Also please ensure that you do see the docking station under the USB bus (as per FAQ I linked on the first page of this thread). If you do not see the device under the USB bus it is worth checking with the manufacturer's website if there are any firmware updates available. If you have further issues please contact the support team directly under: technical-enquiries@synaptics.com

Thank you
