I've started a new job and we were given MBP 2017 as our laptops. I hooked it up to my QGeeM Displaylink dongle and it's not able to support my HP 27f 4k @60Hz somehow (maxes out at 30 hz). I previously used a Lenovo X1Yoga and it had no problem using the same dongle with the same monitor at 4K 60Hz. I did install the latest driver for mac and enabled screen capture in Privacy settings.

The monitor does work if it's hooked up to MBP directly through a regular Thunderbolt to HDMI dongle.

Any help is much appreciated!

Can you please provide a direct web link to the specific model of, 'QGeeM Displaylink dongle' you are using?

The docking station you linked to has two different video output groups, labeled 'VIDEO1' and 'VIDEO2'.

If you connect the HP monitor to the 'other' video output group, does the behavior change?

No, unfortunately the behaviour is the same across both outputs

Can you provide the specific Product Model for your HP display? HP has a guide to locating this information here --> https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00794706

I ask because I do not seem to be able to find information for a 'HP 27f ' display within HP's support site. I can find similar model names, but the ones that are similar are not 4K displays.
