Hi All.
M1 Mac, just upgraded to Monterey. Immediately started having issues with video calls on Zoom/Teams/Slack/Facetime. After restart or wakeup, those apps fire up just fine but when it comes to starting a call or joining another call I get the spinning wheel of death for a couple of minutes and then if I'm patient - the app works. And works pretty solidly until the next sleep/shutdown. Then we're back to square one.
If I switch off DisplayLink while I'm waiting for the spinning wheel of death. The call connects/webcam works instantly and we're back on track.
Current version of DisplayLink software, webcam plugged into an OWC TB3 Dock, along with a USB Startech DisplayLink adaptor. Seems like Displaylink is just confusing the routing for network packets. Only network interface I have on is ethernet through the dock.
Any ideas on what I can do to get things unblocked? Already set the priority of the network interface and it made no difference for me.
