Is it possible to Enable Night Shift or f.lux in Mac OS Monterey on an M1 MacBook Air?

I found this link https://support.displaylink.com/knowledgebase/articles/1886413-how-to-enable-night-light-or-f-lux-on-displaylink for Windows, but obviously there are no registries to edit on Mac :)

Thanks!

Hello Katarzyna,

I also miss the Night Shift feature on Mac OS. On Windows it works great after changing the registry entry. On Mac OS, unfortunately, it seems there is still no support

For me, this is currently a real argument against DisplayLink on the Mac. Could your software developers implement the night shift feature?

Many greetings
Robert

Please fix the Night Shift incompatibility on the Mac. Thanks.

Really? No night shift on Mac? Please implement this. Displaylink is pretty much useless without it.

Please prioritize enabling Night Shift support over DisplayLink on macOS. DisplayLink is completely unusable at night without it.

After years of customers using blue light filters like f.lux and Night Shift, how could you not support this?

DisplayLink has added beta support for f.lux in the latest release of DisplayLink Manager version 1.7.1.

More information is here --> https://support.displaylink.com/knowledgebase/articles/1990237-displaylink-manager-app-f-lux-support-option

Thanks for this update. I have done everything it said to do but the f.lux is only changing the colors on my MacBook air but not on my zenscreen mb165b. Are you able to help with this?

Also is there any way to control the colors specifically only on the zenscreen?

DisplayLink does mention that just DL-6xxx-based docks are supported. I would assume that MB165B is using an older DisplayLink chip (that is not currently supported) as using DL-6xxx for 1 monitor and with 1366x768 resolution would be way too overpowered (and it would increase the price of the monitor way too much).

Thanks for getting back to me. Will DisplayLink develop the option to use f.lux for the MB165B screen?

In large I am looking for an option to control the colors of the screen but as of now, after hours of searching, I haven't been able to find a way to change the colors on the screen.

Any self-respecting company would have found a solution to such a trifle by now. How does this relate to Display Link?
