Hi,

I noticed after upgrading my M1 Macbook Pro to Monterey that incoming Facetime calls show up as missed calls on my Macbook instead of the option to answer or decline. As soon as I quit DisplayLink Manager, everything works fine again.

The issue happens with DisplayLink version 1.4 and 1.5. Anyone else run into this issue?

I'm having a similar issue... but it seems to affect all banner notifications that used to show up on the top right....

Now there is no notification and also Slack notification sound stops working too for some bizarre reason...

As soon as I quit the app or turn the dockstation off then slack notifications show up and also make the sound

Hello,

Thank you for posting on our forum.

May you please go to 'Notifications & Focus" in System Preferences and checking the "Allow notifications: When mirroring or sharing the display" ?

Please verify if the issue will appear after checking this option.

Best regards,
Jakub

Jakub,

Thank you for your reply. Your recommendation fixed my issue:

"go to 'Notifications & Focus" in System Preferences and checking the "Allow notifications: When mirroring or sharing the display"

That checkbox was not selected for some reason after I upgraded to Monterey. I can receive FaceTime calls on my MacBook again.

oh... that was it... thanks a lot....

I would suggest to see if this is a setting that can be automatically enabled during installation or some warning to manually enable it cause this is a big issue if notifications all of a sudden get disabled...

Dear DisplayLink Team,

please add this to FAQ & Knowledge Base and to the already existing info in the Home Tab of the MacOS Controllpanel - change the paragraph from:
Enabling is required to receive notifications on MacOS

TO:
Enabling is required to receive notifications and incoming FaceTime Calls on MacOS

The Problem is that your note suggest to look in the specific settings of the app in the "Notification & Focus" Preferences. But this setting is global and part of the checkboxes under the scroll box with the list of apps. Maybe a link to your FAQ with a Screenshot would make it more clear and avoid that people get frustrated ;-)
