Setup:

MacBook Pro 13" (Mid-2012), Latest Mac OS Catalina 10.15.6
StarTech USB3DOCKH2DP Dock, connected via USB 3.0 to Macbook (latest firmware)
2x ViewSonic VX2452 Monitors, both connected to StarTech Dock via DisplayPort
Latest DisplayLink App installed

Issue:
The external monitors black out every few minutes for a couple seconds whenever I close my Laptop screen. Energy Saver settings are set to never allow the computer or monitor to sleep. I am having zero issues when my laptop screen is open. I have the DisplayLink Manager App installed (Version 1.0.0 Build 54.71)

Ya its not supported in that version 1.0.0 (Build 54.71) and its extremely painful. When do we expect this standard functionality to be supported?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out!

Clamshell Mode (aka Closed lid) is not supported in DisplayLink Manager App it is available in classic drivers only. We are working with the OS vendor to add that functionality do the application but we do not have any dates set for its' release yet.

You can find information on other limitations under following article:

Thank you,
Katarzyna

Hi, does that mean the clamshell mode will work if I run the normal driver, and not DisplayLink Manager App? Thanks,

Remove the DisplayLink Manager and install the new updated legacy driver 5.2.5 and it should work for you. I have a doc that runs two laptops and the update driver from yesterday fixed my dual monitor issues and I can run them both in clam shell mode. (Closed)
