Hi. I have a MSI laptop GP63 leopard with Windows 10 pro and an Nvidia GTX-1060 graphic card.
I am looking for an universal docking that will be able to support 2 displays at 4k resolution and a Lan connection. I already had a bad experience with a wavlink ultra HD/5K usb3 model, so i am looking for a stable model/brand recommendation.
Thanks in advance.

Hi MiriadPlayer,

I'm just wondering about your use case - what are you doing on your laptop? Are you looking to play games on the 4K screens, or is it just to use browsing / office applications?

If you're only looking at browsing and office applications, then a USB docking solution would work very well, such as the Dell D6000 (https://www.dell.com/en-uk/work/shop/dell-universal-dock-d6000/apd/452-bcyj/pc-accessories).

If you're looking at trying to play games on the 4K screens, then a USB solution would hurt your framerate too much and I wouldn't recommend one for that. For that, the only real solution is to plug the monitors directly into the outputs on the laptop so that they use the discrete graphics directly. See this article (https://www.laptopmag.com/articles/docking-station-gaming) for more information.

Kind regards,
Andrew
