View Full Version : Image flash-back in Windows 7

I am running 8.3 Alpha on both windows 7 and windows 10 dual-booted on the same machine. This only happens in windows 7.

When I make a small change in the displayed image (by typing or highlighting or copy/pasting, etc), the change displays for an instant, then the previous image displays for an instant, then the new image displays and persists.

It seems that the larger the area that is affected by the image change (up to maybe 1% or 2% of the screen area), the longer the flash-back and recovery takes. It does not happen after every keystroke, and I haven't seen it happen with the mouse pointer.

Is it necessary to submit installation log files, since this (to me) does not seem to be an artifact of the installation process?

Hello,
Interesting and well described thank you.
The logs are not only pertinent to the installation but also running.
They would be helpful to get a similar machine to try and get a reproduction and debug.
Would you please also be able to confirm that if you roll back to 8.2M2, the issue disappear?
Thanks for taking the time to post.
Kind regards,
Alban
