Good day folks, just moved house and on re-installation of my Display Link, all works except the laptop does not charge. I measure only 12 volts at the connector tip, I believe it should be 19 volts. I could not find any other threads pertaining to this, anyone any ideas. I don't believe there are any others settings regarding laptop voltage.

thanks in advance.

Hello Davis,
There isn't in the market today any product with DisplayLink technology doing the charging. I'd recommend you contact the manufacturer who will be best placed to help you in the third party technology they decided to design in their product to do the charging feature.
Kind regards,
Alban

Thanks Alban, I thought my docking station was using DisplayLink software:

I guess I must be in the wrong forum.
cheers

Hello,
Targus has indeed integrated DisplayLink technology in their docking station, among others.
The charging part has nothing to do with us, therefore I am unable to advise what voltage you should have and how to debug this.
The DisplayLink driver does not control the charging feature of this product.
Kind regards,
Alban
