Windows 7 Dell XPS13 Problem

I am unable to use the Display Link USB Graphics adapter with a Dell XPS13 laptop. The display on the connected monitor goes into standby but does not display the image. When I unplug the vga lead the monitor returns to the self test screen. The USB port works correctly.

The logs are telling me there are USB connection errors.

Can you try:
1. Another USB port on your notebook?
2. The latest (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/22824/USB-3-0-Driver-Intel-USB-3-0-eXtensible-Host-Controller-Driver-for-Intel-8-9-Series-and-C220-C610-Chipset-Family)USB host controller driver?
3. A USB 2.0 cable?

I've tried using both USB ports on the notebook, the chipset drivers are all up to date.

The USB cable is built into the DisplayLink I have, so that's not possible.
