I tried all of the suggestions at http://support.displaylink.com/knowledgebase/articles/544228-how-to-fix-your-displaylink-product-from-repeatedl but am still having problems. Here is the info.

Hi

Thanks for the log files. These show that there are USB communication problems to the adapter and the software keeps losing touch with it.

This looks like a hardware problem andd it would be best to contact the hardware manufacturer for a replacement.
