No Sound with DisplayLink 2.0

Hi All

I am running a Lenovo DisplayLink 2.0 and have lost audio playback through external speakers. I have had the DisplayLink in its current configuration for over a year with no issues until a few weeks ago. Have tried updating the DL and Intel drivers. External speakers work if connected directly to the laptop (after changing the default audio playback), but not when speakers are connected to the port replicator. External speakers are selected as the default when the port replicator is connected.

Can you post a link to the Lenovo product you have?

Are the speakers USB attached or Analogue jack attached?

Hi James,

The USB port replicator is this version:

The speakers are connected to the port replicator via analogue jack, and the port replicator is connected to the computer via USB. "USB audio device" is selected as the audio output.

Can you look in device manager and check if there is a yellow exclamation mark against the USB Audio entry?

No yellow exclamation mark. I have a green check mark next to the USB Audio when that item is set as default.
