Hi!

I use DL device with USB 3.0 for a long time, but couple of days ago it stopped working. It was on Mountain Lion.
I tried to reinstall the driver, tried to install 2.1 version, but it was not successful.

Then I updated my OS to Maverics, and tried to install different drivers - with the same result.

Monitor is black, when I connect DL USB cable, I can't even see any messages in Console.

What can be a source of this problem?

Thank you in advance.

So after new driver update I see those lines in logs:

Any suggestions?

Seems that device is not even detected by OS X.

Permissions repair didn't solve the problem.

Help, please!
My configuration is in attachement.

Can't see any USB display in the profile, from your description it looks like a HW issue.
You may want to check power and cables.

Thank you very much for your answer and your time, Carlo.

I checked all cables, tried to reconnect to different USB-ports, then I tried to plug DL-adapter in USB 3.0 hub with external power (also I tried to plug it into USB 2.0 port on this hub) - no luck.

I tried to reset SMC and PRAM on macbook - still no luck.

It's a bit strange, that USB 3.0 external hard drive is working perfectly on every USB port. And DL adapter doesn't even appear in logs while I plug it in.
But I can see green light on it, an it's quite warm - so I think it is powered.

Is there something I can try?

Thank you one more time!

I'm not sure there is much more to try, the device does not seem to be there. The power might be there but no USB.
It looks a HW issue to me, your options depend on the device manufacturer really.

Sorry!
Carlo

Ok, thank you very much!

Seems that it's dead, because this time I tried to plug it into 5 different laptops, with OSX, Windows and Linux. None of them detected this device.

Thank you one more time.
