Already own:
Laptop - Asus K55A
Monitor - 24" 1920 x 1080, inputs only VGA or DVI

Want to buy:
Second monitor: Dell UltraSharp U2713HM - 2560x1440 - DVI-D, HDMI, DisplayPort
Dock: Fujitsu USB 3.0 Port Replicator PR08

The Fujitsu' dock's datasheet - http://globalsp.ts.fujitsu.com/dmsp/Publications/public/ds-USB-3-Port-Replicator-PR08.pdf - the line '2560 x 1440 pixel; 60 Hz; only on DP, single-head mode' seems to suggest that if you want a monitor with resolution 2560x1440 then you can only connect that one monitor. Does anyone know if this is correct?
This review seems to suggest so also: http://www.notebookcheck.net/USB-Docking-Station-in-Review-Fujitsu-USB-3-0-Port-Replicator-PR08.79546.0.html
Quote: "DisplayPort connectivity for external displays up to 2560x1600. Tested using the 27-inch Fujitsu P27T-6 at 2560x1440. DVI connectivity for external displays up to 1920x1200. Dual display support up to a maximum of two 1920x1200 displays. In our test, a 22-inch and a 27-inch display did not work together."
If I can in fact connect both my 24" and 27" via the dock then great
If not then what workaround do I have?
Can I connect the 27" via the fujitsu dock and then the 24" via the VGA port built into my laptop (as I do now)? I.e. can the dock and the laptop display drivers both run at the same time?
If this is possible, does the in built monitor also continue to run?

Really hoping there is solution as I really want this setup to work!
Thank you!
