Hi. I installed the new version (7.2M1 Displaylink) software to see if it would solve an existing problem (no change). I have 3 Displaylink monitors and a primary video card display (4 monitors). Operating with Windows 8 Pro and all works well. I have the 3 Displaylink units on a single 7 port USB 2.0 Hub. However, when I plug my Motorola Droid Razr (XT912 original 2011 version) running Jelly Bean (Android 4.1.2) into the hub in mass storage mode, the Displaylink driver instantly crashes, and recovers and all my windows end up on the primary (non Displaylink) display and the mass storage function of the phone is recognized and configured into the operating system upon connection. This has always been the case, with earlier versions of DisplayLink and earlier versions of Android.

I was curious if anyone had any ideas on this matter.... any setting to change?

For the record... my DisplayLink devices are Arkview Viewplex adapters.

Hi,

Thanks for your post. Can you upload logs captured with the debug tool? From the first look, it seems you're experiencing a power issue - i.e. devices are trying to get more current than the hub is capable of providing. Can the same be reproduced when you connect the phone through a different USB port?

Thanks,
Michal

I also experienced a similar issue when I plugged a phone in recovery/ADB mode. In that case, Windows popped up a warning that a 'power surge' had occurred. I did not try to plug it in later on to test what the results were since I was on a tight schedule that day. If I can test again at some point, I will.
