15" MBP. Installed 1.6b2 driver. Displaylink-display worked --- for a while.
After weekend of Power Off, displaylink-display dark. Not activity on displaylnk adapter (LED dark). No additional display detected (Mac OSX 10.6.4 "detect displays")
Uninstalled displaylink,restart,re-install, restart. Still same issue.
Swapped out all cables as well as displaylink module.
This happened once before, about six weeks ago. No clue how it got out of hiding. Very frustrated. at this point cannot recommend this product - too unstable
